About Sierra
Sierra Thain graduated in 2021 Cum Laude from University of Arkansas Little Rock with a Bachelor in Business Administration Accounting. Throughout her years at UALR she was a NCAA Division I scholarship recipient as a collegiate diver for all four years. Additional scholarships included Chancellor Leadership Corp and Academic scholarship.
Sierra began her journey as an athlete at the age of 5 yrs. She began competing at age 8 and competed for Eagles Wings Athletics in Allen, Texas for 3 years (Level 5-8). From there she moved to WOGA Gymnastics in Plano, Texas where she has competed for 3 years (Level 8-9) and was ranked in the Top 100 gymnasts in the country in 2013. Sierra has been awarded individual medals in each of the four events and has been awarded the All Around medal on a continual basis. Through the years she has placed at several Texas State Championships, Region III Regional Championships, and in 2014 she competed at Junior Olympics Western National Championships.
In 2013 Sierra made Varsity and began diving for Plano Senior High Swim and Dive Team. From 2013-2017 she placed at UIL District Championships and UIL Regional Championships. In 2015-2016, as Captain she had over five 1st place finishes and several second place finishes.
Sierra begin diving for Mustangs in the Sun after working with Coach Michele Pappas summer 2014. She competed 1 Meter and 3 Meter events. In 2016 she competed at USA Diving Region IV Regional Championships. In the summer of 2016, she placed 2nd on 1 Meter and 3rd on 3 Meter for Mustangs in the Sun Invitational.
Her coaching experience includes both recreational and competitive gymnastics as well as recreational swim and diving, and competitive diving.
Currently Sierra coaches for Jesuit High School, Hockaday High School, and Greenhill High School as well as the owner/coach of Thrive Diving Club providing lessons and mentoring for existing high school divers.
