You have to have 11 dives to qualify for district championships. I had made my 11 by the new year. Districts were held in McKinney. They went really well for me. That day we had a winter storm, and the facility was freezing! There was ice on the windows and we had to bring blankets, towels and about four pairs of socks. After eight dives, they cut the low scores and the top eight divers advanced on to the final round. My friend on my team was one of the unlucky ones, but I continued to the final round. Then they announce the top six divers. These top six divers qualified for Regional Championships. I placed 5th out of the schools at the meet. I am going to Regionals!
